A great introduction to quality English still wine, Flint Dry is a blend of predominantly Chardonnay, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc. This highly aromatic white wine has intense aromas of green apple, pear and citrus together with crisp acidity and a long, refreshing finish.
The green apple and pear notes are exactly as described—so aromatic you can smell them before the glass even reaches your mouth. It’s crisper than most whites I’ve tried, and the Chardonnay backbone gives it just enough body to pair nicely with a simple roast chicken.
I’m not usually a white wine person, but the mix-your-own case made it easy to dip my toes in, and the Bacchus really comes through with that intense, crisp pear aroma. Poured a glass after dinner and it disappeared way faster than expected.
