Een uitzonderlijke vintage mousserende wijn, Chapel Down Grand Reserve 2019, is een blend van de drie grote mousserende wijndruiven: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir en Pinot Meunier. De wijn is gemaakt van de beste fractie van het sap en wordt voor de release tot wel vijf jaar op fles gerijpt. Complexe aroma's van rijpe appels, rood fruit en geroosterde brioche worden aangevuld met een rijke smaak en een royale afdronk. 

Wat alles bij elkaar houdt, is een frisheid en knapperige zuurgraad afkomstig van de koelere oogst van 2019 in Engeland, en het is dit evenwicht tussen frisheid en complexiteit dat deze wijn absoluut heerlijk maakt. 

Grand Reserve 2019 is geweldig als aperitief of als ideale begeleider van paddenstoelenrisotto.

I cracked this open for a birthday and the fine bubbles just kept rolling, silky and persistent through the whole glass. You can really taste the depth from that 2019 vintage, especially the Pinot Noir backbone giving it a lovely round finish.
