Opened it with grilled sea bass last night and the aromatics just jumped out of the glass—so much citrus and that classic English grape brightness. It's crisp but has enough body to hold up to food, which I wasn't expecting. Already ordered a second bottle.
The minerality on this Bacchus is exactly what I look for in an English white—crisp, dry, and with enough backbone to stand up to a proper Sunday roast. Opened it with friends last weekend and it was gone before the lamb even hit the table; already ordered another case.
